Band Profile

Caboose is the band for all occasions — a group equally at home at private events, late-night bar gigs, weddings, brewery shows or festivals. Whatever the setting, Caboose will have people up and dancing.

Caboose's members are seasoned players who bring professionalism and consistency to every performance — with the experience of thousands of shows between them. They understand that every audience is different, so they always deliver a show that suits the crowd.

Centred on Frank James’s smooth, versatile vocals, the band is tight and well-rehearsed — capable of playing a wide range of material over several hours. While there are varied musical styles in the song list, the band excels at blues-based, funky pop and rock numbers. Material stretches from the 1950s to the 2010s.

Some key points for bookers:

  • Caboose's song list has something for everyone, with a mix of classic and modern. Songs are easily recognized and danceable, without the clichés of some cover bands

  • All members are strong singers, sharing lead vocals and adding harmonies

  • The keyboard plus two-guitar lineup allows Caboose to cover nearly all bases for sounds in popular music

  • Very little “down time” between songs — the band movies quickly from one to the next to keep the audience engaged

Caboose takes pride in being businesslike as well as musically proficient. The band has never cancelled a booked date, nor created any issues for venues or hosts. Its members treat a performance like a job and want to deliver a satisfying, stress-free show. Every booker the band has worked with has asked Caboose to come back again.

“Working with Caboose to plan and organize the live music we wanted at our wedding reception was a pleasant experience. The band responded in a timely manner with any questions or concerns we had, keeping communication concise and professional. They set up without issue and were ready to play for the scheduled time – even after a long drive. Overall, it was great sound and a killer set list. We loved the energy they delivered.”
